It all starts with your endocannabinoid system, right? Everybody knows that? Well not exactly. Read on. Almost all living things have what is known as an endocannabinoid system, or ECS. In the grand scheme of things, whomever or whatever created life as we know it for almost all living creatures, the ECS was pretty dang important. Think of the ECS as a network of receptors that communicate with nearly every system in our bodies, including your brain and central nervous system where it helps regulate feelings of anxiety and pain.
There are two main types of receptors in the ECS, CB1 & CB2. CB1 receptors are found in the brain where they influence memory, discomfort, sleep and moods. But the key to the entire process revolves around THC. Without THC, CBD cannot bind to the brain's CB1 receptor, basically meaning it is much more effective when THC is included in CBD. This is a primary reason Full Spectrum CBD is much more popular because it does bind to the CB1 receptor and the results are much more noticeable.
CB2 receptors are mainly involved in balancing bodily systems and contributing to anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive actions. Both CB1 & CB2 receptors contribute to your overall quality of life by promoting homeostasis or balance within the body.
The entourage effect is the theory that all of the compounds, or the Full Spectrum of the cannabis plant work best together by creating a 'synergistic effect' that enhances or magnifies the positive attributes of CBD. But for this to happen, a trace amount of THC has to be present in the equation. The most effective CBD products contain all of the cannabinoids found in the full spectrum of the plant, hence the term Full Spectrum. This is why we at The Mother's Best CBD Wellness recommend Full Spectrum Products that contain all of the natural profiles of the cannabis plant including cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids and essential fatty acids.
In order to be legal through the Farm Bill Act of 2018 Full Spectrum products must have .3% of THC or less. Although that's not a lot of THC and it definitely won't get you high, it may trigger a positive drug test. We tell all of our customers who might be subject to drug testing not to risk using Full Spectrum products. If you might be drug tested, then we recommend a CBD Broad Spectrum or Isolate product for our customers that contains no THC, but does not provide many of the same benefits as our Full Spectrum Products.

Have no idea where to get started in your quest for improving your life and total body wellness? Please stand by...we can help with that! Although there are many studies in the works on everything from helping with mobility issues, arthritis, inflammation, sleep, pain relief, even reported potential cancer and MS benefits. The reports are promising to say the least, yet nothing is clearly delineated to say CBD is a panacea for all of the items just mentioned.
However, we do believe, as well as legions of dedicated followers and users that CBD should be a part of your life...and your pet too! Read on.
While CBD or cannabidiol, won't get you high like it's better known cousin tetrahydrocannabinol or THC the growing body of evidence for benefits is promising. CBD is one of 113 similar compounds present in cannabis and hemp plants. The first documented uses of CBD were around 2500BC by the Chinese who infused it into teas for relief from pain, gout, arthritis and childbirth. Think plant based healing for thousands of years....hmmm, something must be working! We think this is a novel concept and suggest CBD might be right for you too.
This subject can become a little complex, but here's the low down. Humans and virtually all living organisms share what is know as the endocannabinoid system or ECS. Imagine that. All living things. Whoever or whatever the architect of life as we know it is, thought the ECS was pretty darn important for all creatures. The primary job of the ECS is to keep the body in balance or homeostasis through a series of receptors located in the brain, nervous system and peripheral organs. CBD specifically interacts with the receptors in the ECS that help to promote physiological balance in moods, stress, appetite, pain and immune response. So basically, CBD basically helps the body run smoother and stay in balance.
Join us in promoting plant based healing that has been around for thousands of years. Isn't it worth it to try and heal yourself naturally?

We're delighted to announce a sweet girl Rosie as our inaugural The Mother's Best Pet Mascot! She is an 11 year old English Lab that was run over by a car as a younger girl and as her doctor predicted would probably get arthritis in her hips.
She literally couldn't climb the 16 stairs up to her pet human Jennifer's bedroom when it was time to sleep. Jennifer feared for Rosie's future and cringed at the thought of having to put her down. She literally couldn't climb the 16 stairs up to her pet human Jennifer's bedroom when it was time to sleep. Jennifer feared for Rosie's future and cringed at the thought of having to put her down.
Jennifer relates, "I heard about The Mother’s Best offering CBD products for dogs. I began giving Rosie the CBD tincture in February 2019 because she was struggling to go up stairs. After giving her The Mother’s Best CBD oil twice a day in her food, I saw results immediately and now she goes upstairs much easier and literally walks me around the neighborhood!
I believe that giving her The Mother’s Best Tincture for Pets has not only prolonged but given her a better quality of life!"
A recent Baylor Study backs up the many claims we get about CBD helping older dogs with mobility issues such as osteoarthritis. Learn more about this promising study here:

As our beloved furry friends begin to age many have to deal with the same issues their 'humans' do as well, such as mobility concerns. The American Kennel Club says one in five dogs in the US suffer from mobility challenges relating to osteoarthritis. Humans, dogs, cats, horses and almost all mammals share what is known as the endocannabinoid system. In a most simplistic definition, the endocannabinoid system helps promote balance within the body by keeping your internal processes stable. CBD seems to promote homeostasis within the endocannabinoid system by helping alleviate pain and inflammation. With further testing, we're hoping to develop a better understanding of the endocannabinoid system as it shows promise that could eventually hold the key to treating several conditions for humans and pets.
One such promising study out of Baylor University involved the testing of 20 client owned dogs facing mobility issues. Some of the animals received CBD while others were given a placebo. Dr. Matthew Halpert reported that encouraging results were found. “Nine of the 10 dogs on CBD showed benefits, which remained for two weeks after the treatment stopped. We did not detect alterations in the blood markers we measured, suggesting that, under the conditions of our study, the treatment seems to be safe.”
Researchers were particularly interested in the tests with dogs because their condition closely resembles the characteristics of human arthritis. Ultimately, they were so pleased with the safety and efficacy of the CBD trial, they intend to go forward with human testing.
Be sure to check out The Mother's Best Pet CBD Products and read the many positive reviews that our customers have written, like these from Beth and Wanda:
Beth T: "Kasey, my 12 year old black labrador, began having trouble with arthritis in her right hip approximately four years ago. Traditional medication prescribed by her veterinarian provided little relief (as well some negative side effects) and acupuncture wasn't helpful either. After daily use of PetTonicx CBD for just two weeks, her moblity and interest in longer walks was remarkable! I can't say enough positive things about your product, and have recommended it's use to a number of friends with older dogs."
Wanda S: "We have an 12 year old labrador retriever, who has recently had increasing issues with her hips and knees. One weekend morning, we got up to a seemingly confused and weak legged dog. She was eating and drinking but all was not well. The change in her by the next morning was amazing and things continued to get better and within a week or so, she was back to her old self. What was wrong with her that appeared to be stroke like? We don’t know but whatever it was and whatever the reason, she got better. Now days, when she overdoes it by chasing a deer or anything else that runs in our ever decreasing woods, we give her CBD oil and she acts like she is her old self again. Regardless of the problem, it seems, for us, to be the answer to the aches and pains of a senior dog. We cannot thank The Mother’s Best enough, they have given us our lab back, at least for a while!"
The Mother's Best CBD Wellness is searching for a pet mascot! Please submit your pet photos for a chance to win a year supply of our PetTonicx CBD products as well as a $100 CBD gift card for the pet owner. Please submit photos to Greg@TheMothersBest.com for consideration. Must be willing to submit additional photos throughout the year for marketing and promotional purposes!
